13 Jun mac celebrates Yoga Day (June 21) with Anti-gravity yoga (aerial yoga) workshop
The United Nations proclaimed 21 June as the International Day of Yoga. It is the aim to raise awareness worldwide of the many benefits of practicing yoga. mac Body & Mind also wants to contribute to this noble goal. That is why we are hosting a special Anti-gravity yoga workshop on Friday 21 June at 6.30 p.m., in which members of our Body & Mind can participate free of charge. Non-members can also participate at a reduced rate (15 euro instead of 25 euro). There are only fourteen spaces available, so our advice is to register in advance by email (firstname.lastname@example.org). Registration by telephone is not possible.
Anti-gravity yoga (also called Aerial yoga) gives you a unique feeling of weightlessness, freedom, space and height in your entire body. The workshop is very relaxing, and the exercises are simple. You don’t need any yoga experience. Also, you don’t have to be flexible. Anti-gravity is accessible for everyone! Although, participation is not recommended for people with high blood pressure and/or heart problems, and pregnant women.
Anti-gravity – once founded in New York – is a fusion of yoga, Pilates, fitness, stretching, acrobatics and core training. The exercises are performed with the help of silk hammocks. They support your body, decompress the spine and remove tension from your neck and shoulders. As a result, the surrounding muscles relax and you will feel fitter. Therefore, the class is perfect if you have back problems. In addition, happy hormones are released as soon as you hang upside down in the hammock. That definitely will give you a happy feeling!
The workshop (from 6.30 till 8 p.m.) is at Brusselsestraat 74A. That means it is not in our Body & Mind Studio. Pay attention! If you registered and don’t show up, you will be charged 15 euros.
